For the final episode of The Hawk, we begin with the announcers talking about Lonnie, Lance and Golden at the US Open. While Lonnie and Lance continue with some rivalry, Lonnie makes his final shot, allowing him to potentially force a playoff between him and Golden Fisk. Lance then misses his shot, which means there will be a three-man playoff.
After Lonnie nearly gets caught with Anton’s wife, Lance visits Stacy to confront her on why she hasn’t been there to see him play golf. She basically says she’s tired of Lance and Lonnie’s bullshit, especially the Vegas thing, and that she doesn’t want to be a golf wife. Eventually Lance tells her that ever since Vegas, the guys from the game have been threatening to kill him, and they said that if he doesn’t win tomorrow, then they will kill him.
She then goes and talks to Lonnie about Lance, but Lonnie confesses to her that he still loves her. She then says if he really loves her, to do what she asks, and that is to let Lance win. Lonnie doesn’t go for it, so Stacy explains that the people from Vegas are going to kill him, because he owes 4 million.
The next morning, the golf is on, where everyone’s scores get tied, and Lonnie notices the criminals, causing him to shoot the ball into the rocks. This leaves Lonnie devastated, but Sam cheers him up with the Chili’s Baby Back Ribs song, allowing Lonnie to get in his game, and get the ball close to the hole. Golden misses his shot, and Lance makes his shot, putting pressure on Lonnie.
Lonnie then gets ready to putt, but after a horrifying thought of his son being shot to death if he wins, Lonnie misses the shot on purpose. Lonnie then tells Lance he lost on purpose, to which Lance reveals that he lied about the people wanting to kill him to beat Lonnie at his mental game. Lonnie is proud of Lance for this, and the two share an embrace, and after Sam saves Lonnie from Anton, we jump ahead to a month later. Here we learn that Lonnie and Lance reconnected, and Lonnie is asked to be captain of the Ryder Cup next year.
This episode was pretty good, and better than the previous two. The show overall wasn’t too bad, not spectacular, but it was alright. The episodes that were weaker were the first episode, and the previous two, but they weren’t outright bad. The show did have some moments. Probably wouldn’t watch the show multiple times, but it was alright for what it was.
