Previously, in the Netflix series Squid Game, Gi-hun (Lee Jung-hae) was reintroduced and hidden from those involved with the game, not wanting anyone to find out where he is. He begins a dangerous hunt to find the Salesman, who shows up at his apartment and dares him to a game of Russian Roulette. Jun-ho (Wi Ha-Joon) is searching for clues to find his brother and interacts with Gi-hun, wanting to join him in search of the island where the games are played.
The episode begins where the previous one left off: Jun-ho sitting in his car before going to Gi-hun’s home. He hears a gunshot go off, startling him. He runs inside, holding his gun. Jun-ho begins searching the rooms and finds a hostage who happens to be Woo-Seok.
Jun-ho finds Gi-hun’s apartment and takes his gun away. Suddenly, Woo-Seok knocks Jun-ho unconscious, confusing Gi-hun. Woo-Seok explains to Gi-hun that he worked with Mr. Kim to find the Salesman.
Gi-hun interrogates Jun-ho in the bathroom, handcuffing him to the bathtub while Woo-seok cleans the blood off the walls and couch. Jun-ho tells him about his older brother, who went missing years ago after playing the games. Gi-hun wants to find the Front Man, and Jun-ho wants to help. But he does not disclose his brother, is in fact, the Front Man.
Gi-hun takes the two men to another apartment, showing him a room where the money he won in the game is hidden. He tells them that he will give them all the money they want after they find the Front Man and put an end to the game.
Later, we see a young woman No-eul (Park Gyu-young), looking to find her missing daughter. She’s homeless, living in her car, struggling to make ends meet. She’s sitting in her car at night after her work shift when someone comes to her car and gives her a card, inviting her to join the next game.
Jun-ho visits his mother for dinner. He hasn’t told her about his brother being alive. Because of that, she believes he left them for good, not wanting to return home.
The next day, No-eul quits her job and goes to the hospital after witnessing an ambulance truck picking up a little girl from the park where she worked. She eavesdrops on the girl’s father and the doctor. He’s struggling to make ends meet, his daughter having to be in the hospital frequently.
Gi-hun and Woo-seok go to a Halloween party, looking for the red-hooded man. The two separate, and after walking around, Gi-hun finds who they’re looking for and follows after him. Jun-ho enters the club and looks for them, only to find Woo-Seok unconscious at the bar. Jun-ho tells their mercenary crew to be ready.
Gi-hun gets put in a white limousine and it drives off, Jun-ho having the crew tail them. Gi-hun talks to the Front Man through a silver piggy bank speaker. As the crew is following, their tires get shot. Jun-ho is following until a small bomb attached underneath his car blows his tires, leaving Gi-hun alone in the limo.
He tells the man he wants to play the game again, stating, “Go ahead, knock me out, and take me to the game again.” Gas fills the car, putting Gi-hun to sleep. Fortunately, Gi-hun has placed a tracker in his tooth making his location traceable.
No-eul goes to the designated location and walks inside a semi-truck, closing herself in one of the compartments. It’s revealed she is a game guard, not a player.
Overall, this was an intriguing episode. It’s good that Gi-hun and Jun-ho are now working together. What will happen now that Gi-hun is in the game? What’s Plan B for the crew?
