The halfway point of this show begins with JD using an AI chatbot. Turk then tells JD he should get a date, and Elliot, and Sibby also discuss dating lives. Turk later questions Dr Parks on why he hates JD, and that he needs to get over his jealousy of him.
JD then starts talking with a girl named Lily, who plays harp at the hospital. After Blake and Amari anger the charge nurses, Turk tries to tell JD that if he tries to go out with Lily, Dr Park will use it to bring him down. The charge nurses then tell Elliot about JD’s crush on Lily, and that she needs to get back in the dating game, which Elliot disagrees with.
JD has another run in with Lily, who asks him out for a drink, so they head to the bar, while Elliot tries to ask Turk to help a patient get to the top of a donor list, after she loses another chance of getting a liver. Turk later runs into Dr Parks again, who tells him that Lily is just a volunteer, so he can’t bust JD for it.

Back at Lily’s place, JD sees a pizza box that reminds him of Elliot, and realizes he isn’t really in love with this girl. Turk manages to get a liver for Elliot and her patient, though it’s from a 60-year-old hep C patient. We then see things like Amari possibly falling for Blake, Dr Parks explaining why the charge nurses seats are off limits, and JD and Turk hanging out.
While it still isn’t great, and still cringe, it didn’t have as much as the last few episodes. The daydream sequences weren’t really there either, but the show still doesn’t bring much excitement. There’s still just something about it that doesn’t sit well. The pacing is still a bit off, and the show even with the moments, doesn’t bring a whole lot of emotion. It feels like 10 episodes may have been a bit too much with this reboot, as we’re only on episode 5, and it just brings dread to continue with it any further. There is always this feeling in the back of the mind when trying to watch it too. Can’t quite put a finger on it, but it’s not a good feeling. The show still just isn’t a good watch.
