This episode starts with Farnsworth saying that Fry can’t compete with Momazons same second delivery. Farnsworth explains that to compete, they are going to use the time machine for previous day delivery.
Fry, Bender, and Farnsworth then get in the machine to deliver the package yesterday, and head forward in time, running into themselves. They try to avoid themselves, but they accidentally shoot themselves sideways through time. Back at planet express, the other trio makes it back, with Fry stuck in time sideways and floating in the air.
Leela then takes care of him to try and help him feel better, but it’s no use. Since Fry only feels happy when sleeping, the crew put him to sleep, where he dreams about a medieval Dreamland. He is dubbed a hero, when the time machine he is in accidentally kills everyone’s least favorite villain Freckles.
Fry then meets Queen Mary (or Mop girl) and King Elfo, where he talks about the time machine and claims to be a scientist. Elfo mentions his old friend Queen Tiabeanie, who also liked science, who swam away. She then suddenly walks in, Luci appears, and Elfo embraces them in a hug. After Fry, Luci, Bean, and Elfo hang out, Fry is given Elfo’s old bedroom to sleep.
While laying down, Bean’s mother Dagmar (who overheard them talking about time travel) convinces Fry to let her out of her cage. While Fry is about to be knighted, it is interrupted by Sorcerio, who tells everyone that Dagmar escaped and took Fry’s time machine. While searching for her, Fry confesses he let her out of the cage, but that he’ll make it right, when he suddenly falls though a trap door. Dagmar turns out to be in pit, where she tells him to fix the time machine or she’ll kill him. He fixes it, and she tells him to go back to Bean’s wedding day, so she can stop Bean, Elfo, and Luci from meeting and become the ruler.
She is successful, so she then throws Fry into a cell with Bean. After Fry tells her she was a hero, She tells Fry about her execution in the morning. He says they need to do something before, but she tells him to wait till after. She then executes herself the next morning, since her mother couldn’t do it. The guards then let Fry out of the cell, where he then gets into the time machine, goes back in time and fixes the timeline, saving everyone. Fry then sends Dagmar to the end of time, when he suddenly hears Leela. Leela, Bender, and Farnsworth managed to get into his Dreamland to rescue him, and they use the power of magic, science, and love to get him out.
This was an interesting episode, though it wasn’t incredible. It’s hard to say if it was better than the last one. Apparently, it was a crossover between Futurama and Matt Groening’s other show Disenchantment. Never actually saw the show, just a commercial for it, so the knowledge wasn’t really there for this episode. It’s interesting how they made them crossover though and the way it happened. Maybe for others who have seen the Disenchantment show it would have been more enjoyable. Again, it wasn’t really bad, just not the greatest.
