We start off episode 5 with family dinner at Kif and Amy’s place, where the children are all staring at their screens, much to the dismay of Kif and Amy. We then see Hermes and Labarbara’s son Dwight, and Cubert Farnsworth, and Bender having too much screen time. Farnsworth out of frustration shuts down the Wi-Fi for the next 2 hours. We then see the kids struggling to play outside and gain some Wi-Fi from some Wi-Fi dealer.
The children then are brought to the hospital because of their screen addiction, and Kif gets the idea to send the kids and Bender to Zapp Brannigan’s camp to free them from their screen dependency. Everyone has some fun without the kids, while Zapp makes everyone do some tasks while he does nothing but relax, and in the nighttime, he tells them they’re going to hunt the snipe, while he once again, goes to sleep and does nothing.
The spork bender put in his head to replace his antennae that Zapp took, winds up getting a signal from the sun, and they get the idea to stealthily get their devices to piggyback off the signal. The plan winds up working, and they get their devices (and antennae) back, but wind up encountering the Snipe they thought wasn’t real in the process. The adults get into some trouble, while our campers are still getting chased. Bender and the kids are saved from some hippie-like people, and after a tour, a solar eclipse begins to happen when the kids show everyone their devices.

Because of their views, the hippies believe they caused it with their “witchcraft” devices, and they begin attacking Bender and the kids. Kif’s son Axl tries to call him (who’s in jail because of Zoidberg with the rest of the guys) but to no avail because of the eclipse blocking the sun, and we see Zapp still relaxing in his tent, and the kids run into him for help. Everything he tries fails because the bus and his laser require Wi-Fi.
At the prison Kif uses a payphone to call Zapp, whose phone gets destroyed. All hope is lost until they use Bender’s phone jack, and a soup can, to rig a phone. Just as the hippies are going to attack, the sun comes back, and the hippies wind up being corrupted by the devices, and everyone escapes the planet. The drunken Planet Express ladies take the place of the men in the jail cell, and Axl hearts the text message Kif sent him.
This was a pretty straightforward episode, and while it still had funny moments, there weren’t as many in this one as, let’s say the previous two. However, it was still a pretty decent episode and still had some of that entertainment value in it.
