To start, we return to day nine, where we finally learn what Gacy said to Sam. John tells Sam about the first bad event, involving the Greyhound bus boy. After dropping off his wife, he goes and offers to give Tim a ride around town till his next bus arrives.
After the tour, John brings Tim to his home for a meal and some beers, when John asks him if he wants to watch a stag film, and offers to blow him. Tim slices John the next morning, and John kills him in response. John claims self-defense again and puts Tims body in the crawlspace. John then proceeds to talk about John Butkovich.

John hires Butkovich, and after a pep talk, we transition to 1975, where Gacy has John tied up in the garage. John says that this was also another accident, and he tied the rope around his neck and handcuffed John to calm him, before again, burying him in the garage. After a montage of the things he did, we learn about what happened with Donnelly. Finally, we see Rob Piest, who encounters John while he’s fixing stuff in the pharmacy.
Rob goes outside the pharmacy to meet with John to speak with him about the construction opportunity. John offers Rob the job, and brings him to his house to file the paperwork to start the job. John shows Rob a magic trick he does with handcuffs and offers to teach him how he does it. He handcuffs Rob, and brings up a comment Rob said earlier, about how he’s willing to do anything for money. He then proceeds to try and rape Rob, only to snap out of his trance and apologize to Rob for doing what he did. John then asks to show him one last trick, before we see Rob’s clothes in the river. We then see real images of Tim, John, and Rob.
This episode did a good job of showing just what a sick pervert John Wayne Gacy really was. Especially the last part with Rob, and when he was talking to Tim about the stag films and offering to blow him. There may have been a small thing towards the end of the episode where the audio on the mic for Gacy sounded a bit high for one line, but it wasn’t anything bad, and the editing was fine with this episode. Overall, another decent episode.
