Previously on the Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) saves Hector Ayala’s niece, Angela (Camila Rodriguez), from the new villain Muse, who has been kidnapping and killing people.
The next episode starts with Daniel Blake (Michael Gandolfini) and Buck (Arty Froushman) updating Fisk on Angela escaping Muse. Buck tells him that she escaped with the help of Daredevil. Fisk gets upset, knowing that Matt told him that he was done with Daredevil. He orders the two men to leave his office.
Next, we see Angela in the hospital. She’s having flashbacks of the last night, when she was taken. Matt also has flashbacks while he’s at home.
Heather (Margarita Levieva) is worried about Matt when she sees his bruises, and she notices that he wasn’t home until late last night. He tells her that he’s okay, but he’s dealing with some things.
Matt goes to work and talks to Cherry (Clark Johnson). Cherry is upset with him: Matt didn’t listen to him when he told him to let the police handle Muse. Cherry tells him that he can do whatever he wants, but he won’t help him when it comes to Daredevil.
Fisk tells Buck that now that Daredevil has returned, he will have to take care of him.
Matt visits Angela at the hospital and has her recall what happened during and after the kidnapping. She tells Matt about the drawings of people’s faces that Muse had.
Heather meets up with a teenager, Bastian Cooper (Hunter Doohan), who urgently asks for her help. While he’s in a session with her, Fisk meets with Detective Kim (Ruibo Qian), and they talk about the guy Heather is currently with. Detective Kim believes that he’s the main prospect for being Muse. He grew up competing in Taekwondo, being forced by his parents. He grew up in several mental institutions and was suspected of killing his Taekwondo trainer.
While Bastian is talking to Heather, his nose starts to bleed. He takes the blood and uses it to draw in his notebook. He draws Muse. Heather gets emotional and tears up. She asks what the drawing is, and he tells her it’s his true self. She tries to run from him, but he attacks her, knocking her out by pushing her against the wall.
Matt, as Daredevil, goes to Muse’s hideout and looks for the drawings Angela told him about. He finds them and begins to realize that they are drawings of Heather. Before he can look any further, Officer Powell finds him, and before he can say anything, Matt knocks him out. Powell also looks at the drawings of Heather. He calls Fisk to let him know he saw Daredevil and that Heather is taken.
Heather wakes up, still in her office. Bastian is now dressed as Muse. He cuts her arm, and before he can do anything else, he hears police sirens. He puts out a bed sheet and lays it across the floor. Matt comes bursting inside through a window and begins to fight Muse.
At the same time they’re fighting, the police make their way upstairs. Heather passes out after she shoots Muse, killing him. Matt freaks out, trying to get her to wake up. He leaves as soon as the police make their way into the office.
Fisk finds out that Daredevil was there, but he tells the officer that the police stopped Muse. He doesn’t want anyone to know that Daredevil was there.
Matt visits Heather in the hospital room. She tells Matt that she thinks Daredevil said her name.
Fisk is at a restaurant, eating dinner alone. The place is empty when Luca comes inside. He goes behind Fisk and aims a gun at his head, but before he shoots, Buck kills him, hiding behind a curtain. Fisk knew that it was coming.
Overall, this was a good episode. It was interesting to see that Bastian was Muse all this time, thinking it was someone older. After learning who he was, there was no surprise that he’d go after Heather, knowing that he wanted her help with his childhood trauma. Now that Fisk knows that Daredevil is back, what will he do with Matt?
