Previously on the Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) finds himself hostage at a bank after meeting with bank assistant manager Yusuf Khan (Mohan Kapur). Matt and Yusuf find a diamond in a safe, something the robbers were looking for. At the end of the episode, Yusuf finds the same stone hidden inside his candy jar on his desk.
The next episode begins with a worker finding a dead body in a pile of rocks. It’s the same body of the person we saw at the end of episode 3.
At home, before Matt starts his day, he prays, quoting from the bible. As he’s praying, he has flashbacks of moments that happened, including Foggy and Hector being killed, to his fights with criminals and Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio). Heather (Margarita Levieva) tells him that she’s writing a book on vigilantes. Matt acts calm and collected, but as the camera shows his face, we can see he’s uncomfortable with the conversation. She brings up Daredevil and the Punisher (Frank Castle), knowing he’s worked with them before.
Fisk finds a visitor in his office, and it happens to be Luca. Luca tells Fisk to stay out of their business, saying he’s not part of their plans anymore. Fisk ignores him and warns him that if he doesn’t give Viktor 2.8 million by the end of the week, he’ll be done for.
After Luca leaves the office, Fisk meets with a man in the Sanitation Department named Johnny. Johnny tells him that the vigilante murals he wanted to get rid of are made out of blood. Most of those murals are to do with him or the White Tiger.
While Matt is at work, Hector’s niece Angela visits him. She tells him that Hector was investigating something, and thinks it’s about the missing individuals. He asks her what she wants him to do with the information, and she tells him to do anything he can.
Later, we see Cherry. He goes to Matt’s office, and he tells him that there’s a serial killer. The suspect is the graffiti artist, named Muse, who paints with his victim’s blood. Cherry tells him because he doesn’t want him to go back to being Daredevil. Cherry advises him to let the police handle it.
Fisk gets a team of police officers together, including Officer Powell, to take down Muse. He tells them that they need to take him down and stop these vigilantes and killings.
Next, we see Angela snooping around an abandoned train station. She uses her phone as a flashlight, and she walks further inside, hearing a noise.
Matt gets a call from Hector’s wife, saying that Angela isn’t home and that she told her that she was going to meet with him. Matt puts on his suit and goes to look for her. Muse carries an unconscious Angela to his hideout. He begins to drain her blood from her leg, using a tube. He hears something, and he goes outside to see Daredevil running toward him. Matt fights Muse and finds Angela.
Fisk goes to his dungeon, carrying an axe, and opens the cell where Adam is held. Adam grabs the axe and begins to fight Fisk. Fisk breaks the axe with his arm. He begins to punch Adam in the face until he can’t anymore. Adam is now severely beaten.
After choking out Muse, Matt starts to pump Angela’s chest to get her to start breathing again. He does so successfully. He turns around, noticing that Muse escaped.
Overall, this was a good episode. It’s good to finally know who Muse is. Angela was right coming to Matt, because he’s a lawyer and she knows he’s a good person. This episode was filled with a lot of action, especially toward the end, which was great, especially for the lack thereof in the previous episode. What will happen to Angela now? Will Matt be able to stop Muse before Fisk does?
