Disney Plus’s Original Series Obi-Wan Kenobi Season one episode two “Part 2” kicks off with Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi on a quest to save Vivien Blair’s young Leia Skywalker on behalf of her father as a result of her getting kidnapped from her home. An interesting thing happens as he lands in the city that Leia is being held in, he comes across a homeless clone trooper. One of the very same who took part in the genocide that killed almost all of the Jedi. From the look the viewer sees on Obi-Wan’s face there are mixed emotions that Obi-Wan feels. It goes from fear to hate to sadness, then to compassion for the clone that is left to be forgotten like the Jedi. In his mind, Obi-Wan knows that the clones were just a tool used by the emperor just like the Jedi were that is why he decides to give him some money so, he could get some food. After this Obi-Wan stumbles onto a girl selling drugs to survive in the city this serves as a demonstration on how the world has fallen into darkness since the Jedi were killed.
A couple minutes into the episode, and the viewer sees that Obi-Wan finds Leia with a humorous moment where she hits him in the gut with a pipe to escape showing that even as a child, she still refuses to be a damsel in distress. The humorous moment continues when she asks him to force lift her to prove that he is who he says he is with him telling her no. The interesting part is that Obi-Wan seems to not be able to use the force in any way. The viewer can guess that given the traumatic events he has faced he has lost his connection to the force. Additionally, Moses Ingram’s Reva Sevander is still looking for Obi-Wan so that way she can deliver him to her master. From what the viewer can see she is obsessed with capturing him as demonstrated by the series when it was revealed that she was the one who orchestrated Leia’s kidnapping. It can be guessed that she wants to get Obi-Wan due to her seeing him as the one who caused the genocide of the Jedi by training Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker.
Later into the episode, Obi-Wan and Leia are saved by an unlikely ally that sets them on their way to escape that city. Unfortunately, that leads to a small confrontation between Obi-Wan and Reva where she tries to bring him out of his hiding place. This is where the series takes a turn in a very intense direction when Reva talks about her master wanting to see him until she reveals that her master is Anakin Skywalker. As a result of this news the viewer can see the look of pure shock on Obi-Wan’s face since he believed that Anakin died years ago during their fight in the movies.
