Hulu’s ‘Pam & Tommy’ Episode 2 “I Love You, Tommy” Was at An All Time-High

The second episode of Pam & Tommy let us see more of Pamela Anderson (Lily James) than we did in the previous episode.  Watching Lilly James actually get into character if Pamela was so impressive. Her acting performance of Pamela Anderson from her mannerisms to her voice and body language, her acting performance was subpar.

Pam and Tommy (Sebastian Stan) were both high at a nightclub and partying until they couldn’t party anymore. During this time, these two barely even knew each other but it was almost like love at first sight because the chemistry was just magnetic. Tommy is persistent in getting Pam’s attention even when she was just trying to focus on her work and didn’t want to get distracted.

As the story prevails, Pamela is preparing for a business meeting in Cancun, which eventually falls through and gives Tommy the perfect opportunity to try and impress Pam once again. Shocked by his unexpected surprise, Pam decided to give in and follow Tommy back to the hotel room. It was as if she forgot her purpose of being there and abandoned who the people knew to be as Pamela Anderson, the celebrity.

Once Pam and Tommy arrived at the hotel room,  they played with some drugs and actually did not engage in any lovemaking. It was interesting They were both in almost a euphoric trance of ecstasy, pleasure, and awe just admiring each other’s bodies like it’s a work of art.

Tommy seems to realize that Pam may be the one for him despite his penis and bandmates persuading him to do otherwise. Tommy decided to purpose out of the blue and they get married. The irony is Pam and Tommy both waited until they became husband and wife before actually having any sexual relations.

Let’s give credit where credit is due because the production crew really did a phenomenal job with the makeup, costumes, and set design. I think Lily James is an underrated actress who we have yet to see the peak of her talent and acting ability. The series is starting out a little slow and it’s hard to keep track of everything. Some parts seem a little cliché, especially with the drinking, partying, etc. because most fans probably expected that. Maybe, there will be a shift in the character development that allows us to see the more vulnerable side of Pam and Tommy. It couldn’t possibly be all hype.
