According to The Hollywood Reporter, the seventeen-old actress just nabbed the leading role on a new Disney series.
The project, titled Super Awesome Katy, focuses on a teenager, Katy Cooper, described as “an outspoken and confident technology wiz and skilled black belt,” whose parents are spies and expect her to follow in their footsteps.
Zendaya Maree, who is set to play Katy, will broaden her relationship with the network: she currently stars on Shake It Up, which will end next Sunday, November 10.
Super Awesome Katy will be executived produced by Rob Lotterstein and will air next season.
