Zedd And L.A. Philharmonic Perform ‘Severance’ Theme At Coachella

@RollingStone on Instagram confirms DJ Zedd continues to raise the bar with his live performances as he absolutely nailed cover of the Severance theme song during his Coachella set. Bringing out guest stars and talent seems to be his signature, as The LA Philharmonic joined him on stage in a mesmerizing ode to Apple TV+’s hit show.

The video shared to the @RollingStone account starts with Zedd eerily tickling the ivories on a dark stage under a small spotlight with smoke all around. He then introduces the Philharmonic, who bring the theme song to life in a way that is nothing short of magical.  One user even replying that it gave them goosebumps, others would probably agree.

This comes during a Coachella festival that mxdwn reports has seen Zedd also bring out other household names like Incubus to join in on their song “Drive”. Or bringing out Alyssa Cara to perform their hit song “Stay” and Bea Miller to perform “Out of Time.”

Mxdwn also reported during Zedd’s set in weekend one of Coachella, Marren Morris had made a surprise guest appearance to perform their collaboration “The Middle.” This song brings a cross of country-pop and EDM, another example of why Zedd continues to be at the leading edge of genre bending music.

Zedd’s interest in Severance doesn’t come as a surprise with mxdwn reporting that viewers cannot seem to get enough of the science fiction psychological thriller. After the release of its second season, Apple TV+ claims that it is now the most watched series.  This leaves it above other hit shows like For All of Mankind, Ted Lasso, and Slow Horses. The show really seems to tap into the conspiracy theorists in all of us as it touches on the ‘what-if’s’ regarding emerging technologies and the ethical implications when the corporations overseeing these technologies fail to operate within the boundaries of morality.
