Cheryl Cole has settled a lawsuit she filed against producers Blue Orbit Productions for an undisclosed amount.
According to Deadline, Cole filed a lawsuit against the producers a little over a year ago for more than $2.3 million. The case was settled out of court.”Cheryl’s dispute with Blue Orbit has been resolved amicably,” a spokesperson for Cole said.
Cole appear three times as a judge on The X Factor UK prior being ask by Simon Cowell to join the American version debut season in 2011. Cole claimed she was owed money under a pay or play contract. She was paid $1.8M for Season 1 and was seeking money for Season 2.
Cowell recently said the two had “patched up our differences a long time ago… I think both of us would like the idea of working together again.”
He also gave her praises on her judging ability, “She was a great judge… and she knows what she’s talking about.”
The X Factor airs on Fox Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8PM Eastern.
