This Wednesday, Wolf Entertainment posted a photo on Twitter featuring Chicago P.D. star Tracy Spiridakos and FBI actor Zeeko Zaki, thus confirming the long-rumored crossover. On March 31, Detective Upton (Spiridakos) and Agent Zidan (Zaki) will team up for FBI Season 2 finale “Emotional Rescue” to disband a drug deal.
The CBS crossover was installed on Chicago P.D. March 25 episode “Lines” in which Spiridakos’ character got out of line in a case. Temporarily assigned to New York by her commanding officer (Jason Beghe), Hailey Upton will clash against the traditional methods of the FBI bureau.
Dick Wolf, executive producer of both shows, expressed his enthusiasm and said on his website that “Tracy’s character is a fan favorite, and I’m extraordinarily happy to be shining an even greater; light on her and gaining more fans along the way before she returns to Chicago P.D”. Since last June, fans have been speculating on a possible crossover on series such as FBI: Most Wanted or NBC’s Law and Order: SVU, but it’s January that Wolf excited the rumors. “Stay tuned…It’s going to get very interesting”, the creator said on a Television Critics Association press tour.
