According to Warner Bros,, Warwick Davis (Willow, Leprechaun), will be reprising his role as the lovable Charms professor, Filius Flitwick, in the new TV series. For many years, Davis has brought magic to life through his performances in the franchise, including his portrayal of the menacing Griphook, a goblin at Gringotts Wizarding Bank, who will be played by Leigh Gill (Blitz, Hot Dog) .
If the story remains the same, fans will see Professor Fitwick guiding a new generation of witches and wizards which includes Harry, played by Dominic McLaughlin, Hermione, portrayed by Arabella Stanton, and Ron, played by Alastair Stout. The Charm Class is one of the first class the trio take within their first years and where they learn the iconic spell, Wingardium Leviosa.


Furthermore, Warner Bros. reports additional members alongside Warwick, which includes Elijah Oshin as Dean Thomas, Finn Stephens as Vincent Crabbe, and William Nash as Gregory Goyle. We also get further staff members of Hogwarts which will be Sirine Saba (Holby City, Exhibition) as Professor Pomona Sprout, Richard Durden (Late Shift, The Awakening) as Professor Cuthbert Binns, and Bríd Brennan (Room Taken, Maeve) as Madam Poppy Pomfrey.
According to Warner Bros, with the show staying truthful to the source materials, the crew could potentially delve more into explore existing characters in new ways or introduce fresh faces to the magical narrative. Warwick’s legendary return to Hogwarts adds another spark of what promises to be an enchanting new chapter within the Harry Potter franchise. This will serve as a connection between the old and the new, reassuring fans that the beloved mystical world will be preserved.
There is no exact release date for the Harry Potter series at the moment, but it is scheduled to premiere on HBO Max sometime in 2027.
