Marvel fans will just have to wait as the series Wonder Man release has been delayed due to the on-going WGA writer’s strike. According to Deadline, the series was being filmed right in Los Angeles, however production has been put to a sudden halt.
This sudden news is one of many to come from Marvel Studios such as the postponement of their upcoming film Thunderbolts, which was supposed to start its production in Atlanta in three weeks.The news hit the crew that filming will be put on pause and that production will go back as planned once the writer’s strike is over. Another Marvel project that has been stopped for now due to the ongoing strike is upcoming Blade film which was supposed to begin filming this summer in June, however pre-production has been put on a hold also due to the strike.
Wonder Man is also planned to return back to its normal schedule and head back into production once the strike is over and dealt with. However, for now Marvel fans will just have to patiently wait for any new projects from the popular studio until the Writer’s Guild of America strike is over. So far, television has been the most impacted by this strike, as many series have been already put to a halt earlier this month. However, numerous film productions will and are starting to be impacted by the strike as well. This is causing the movie side of the industry to stop production and push back scheduled releases and previews, much like the Thunderbolts movie. Another project impacted by the strike includes Lionsgate’s upcoming film Good Fortune which has just stopped their filming due to the strike as well, leaving its return to production a hazy date in the unpredictable future.
