James Marsden (Hop) will reprise his role on HBO’s Westworld as Teddy Flood, as revealed by the network at the ATX Television Festival in Austin on a panel promoting the upcoming fourth season, according to Variety. The panel featured co-creator Lisa Joy (Kore Conversations), executive producer Alison Schapker (Altered Carbon) and stars Evan Rachel Wood (Thirteen), Jeffrey Wright (The Batman), Luke Hemsworth (Thor: Love and Thunder), Angela Sarafyan (A House on the Bayou) and Aurora Perrineau (Prodigal Son), alongside Marsden, who made a surprise appearance.
It still remains unclear how Marsden’s return to the show will play out. The science-fiction series, now producing its fourth season, followed a futuristic amusement park that is built on the innovative idea that rich vacationers could live out their deepest fantasies with no consequences, using artificial consciousness.
Joy also stated that while Wood’s character Delores was killed off, she hoped to write in another character for the actor, which explains her return. However, the panelists were careful not to reveal any spoilers.
“Reveal absolutely nothing!” Joy said, via Variety.
HBO also unveiled new art for the forthcoming fourth season, which will be available to stream beginning June 26.
