HBO Max has released a new trailer for the fourth season of their popular sci-fi thriller series, Westworld. The show’s fourth season will premiere on June 26th on HBO and will be streaming exclusively on HBO Max.
This season will see the return of much of the show’s main cast including Evan Rachel Wood (Phoenix Rising), Thandiwe Newton (Mission: Impossible II), Ed Harris (The Truman Show), Jeffery Wright (The French Dispatch), Tessa Thompson (Men In Black: International), Luke Hemsworth (Death Of Me), Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad), and Angela Sarafyan (A House On The Bayou). Ariana DeBose (West Side STory) will join the cast this season as a recurring guest star, according to an HBO press release.
Many of the returning cast have been busy in recent months. Rachel Wood will be playing pop music superstar, Madonna, in the upcoming Weird Al biopic, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story. Newton recently starred in the Amazon Prime film, All The Old Knives. Wright was recently in the Marvel Disney+ series, What If? Thompson will be making her second Marvel Cinematic Universe appearance in Thor: Love And Thunder, which will be released in July, after appearing in the previous Thor film, Thor: Ragnarok.
The upcoming fourth season of Westworld will be the first time the show has aired since May 2020, when the series’ season three finale aired. The series first premiered in 2016 to much critical acclaim, currently scoring an 81% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Westworld was created by Jonathan Nolan (Person Of Interest) & Lisa Joy (Burn Notice), who are executive producers with Alison Schapker (Almost Human), Denise Thé (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles), J.J. Abrams (Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise Of Skywalker), Athena Wickham (Mission: Impossible III), Richard J. Lewis (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation), and Ben Stephenson (Lovecraft Country). The show’s production companies are Kilter Films and Bad Robot Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
