

With only four episodes of the second season available, Disney+ is already moving ahead by assembling a cast for the highly anticipated third installment of Percy Jackson & The Olympians. According to Deadline, the upcoming third season will be based around the third volume, and production is under way with the announcement of the new casting. The major one that will be the main backbone is Holt McCallany (The Ice Road, The Iron Claw), who will portray the world bearer, Atlas, the god who was punished by Zeus and now seeks revenge.
Reported by Deadline, the plot of the third season will be the same, in which Percy, played by Walker Scobell (The Adam Project, Secret Headquarters) must embark on a mission to rescue the goddess, Artemis, who will be played by Dafne Keen (Logan, Deadpool & Wolverine) and Annabeth, played by Leah Jeffries (Beast, Empire).Furthermore, Percy will have an interaction with Annabeth’s estranged father, Federick Chase, who will be portrayed by Jesse L. Martin (The Flash, Law & Order).
Stated by Deadline, another recurring character that viewers will be seeing is Dr. Thorn, played by David Costabile (Breaking Bad, Suits), who is a a military headmaster, but this is only his human disguise. It is currently unknown on what mythological form his character will take, when Percy and friends come to recruit two powerful demigods to the camp. The demigods in questions could be the children of Hades, Nico De’Angelo, played by Levi Chrisopulos (FBI) and Bianca di Angelo, played by Olive Abercrombie (Oracle, Outer Range).
There are four more episodes left in the second season, set to be released on Wednesday. In the meantime, viewers can rewatch the previous episode and enjoy the first season of Percy Jackson on Disney+.The world building in the series constantly evolves and strengthens with each new season with the introduction of new demigods and locations to the series.
