‘Wednesday’ Season Three Update: Eva Green Cast As Aunt Ophelia

Netflix’s Wednesday has been renewed for a third season. According to Deadline, during the last season, we were introduced to Morticia Addams’ sister Ophelia Frump. The actress who would play this role will be Eva Green (Dumbo, Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children).

According to Variety in the series, Ophelia Frump was committed by her mother, Hester Frump, played by Joanna Lumley (Amandaland, Fool Me Once). She was sent to Willow Hill and would later escape the penitentiary. At the end of season two, Wednesday, played by Jenna Ortega (Wednesday, Death Of A Unicorn) read her aunt’s journal which was given to her by her mother Morticia Addams, played by Catherine Zeta-Jones (Chicago, National Treasure: Edge Of History). Wednesday was given a vision of a woman with long blond hair and a flower crown. The person in the vision is revealed to be Ophelia Frump. It is then revealed that Ophelia is kept in a cell in Hester’s mansion, wearing a red dress and writing a message that read: “Wednesday must die.”

According to Deadline, the cast includes Emma Myers (A Minecraft Movie, A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder) who plays Enid Sinclair, Hunter Doohan (Daredevil: Born Again, The Wilderness) who plays Tyler Galpin, Joy Sunday (Dear White People, Dog) who plays Bianca Barclay, Mossa Mostafa (Wednesday, The Last Bus) who plays Eugene Ottinger, Georgie Farmer (Wednesday, The Tale Of The Skull Tree) who plays Ajax Petropolus, Issac Ordonez (Husky, 7th & Union) who plays Pugsley Addams, Billie Piper (Doctor Who, Kaos) who plays Isadora Capri, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Back In Action, How To Date Billy Walsh) who plays Sheriff Ritchie Santiago, Evie Templeton (Pinocchio, Criminal Record) who plays Agnes Demille, Luis Guzmán (Guns Up, Havoc), and Fred Armisen (Big Mouth, Deli Boys) who plays Uncle Fester.

There is no official release for the third season, so we’ll have to keep our eyes peeled.
