Watch the Trailer for Jodie Foster’s Upcoming ‘Black Mirror’ Episode

In a rare move, Netflix has released a trailer for one episode of its upcoming Black Mirror season 4. According to IndieWire, the streaming service unveiled a full-length trailer for “Arkangel”, the season 4 episode directed by Jodie Foster.

“Arkangel” stars Rosemarie DeWitt (Mad Men, La La Land) as a mother who brings her child to have an experimental procedure done in order to keep her safe from harm. The trailer suggests that the episode will fit comfortably in Black Mirror’s wheelhouse: everything starts out fine and well in picket-fenced suburbia, but once technology is introduced, things slowly begin to go wrong.

Brenna Harding and Owen Teague join DeWitt in the episode, which is written by series creator Charlie Brooker. Though Black Mirror’s growing popularity has attracted more and more famous actors with each season, the series has also managed to grab impressive talent behind the camera as well. Besides Jodie Foster, notable filmmakers such as John Hillcoat and Tim Van Patten will be directing episodes for the season as well.

Black Mirror season 4 still has yet to receive its own trailer. Netflix could be releasing trailers for individual episodes instead in order to create more excitement for the upcoming season, although this is not yet confirmed and has never been done for Black Mirror before.

A release date has not yet been given for season 4. Black Mirror’s newest episodes are expected to premiere on Netflix by the end of this year.
