Watch the Latest Incarceration Teaser for ‘Orange is the New Black’

Netflix just released a new teaser for Orange is the New Black. Check it out below:

The 35-second clip shows a group of inmates watching an awards show and Tasha jefferson AKA “Taystee” (Danielle Brooks) says “even when white folks trying to be excited, they still boring.” To which Cindy Hayes AKA “Black Cindy” (Adrienne C. Moore) responds “Yeah I was asleep.” Another popular Orange is the New Black character featured in the teaser is Sophia (Laverne Cox) who is still in solitary confinement after being wrongfully placed there. There’s also footage of a SWAT team entering the Litchfield prison.

According to E! Online, during an interview with TCA, Cox said “It was a joy to play (Sophia) and I felt like I was pushed in ways that I didn’t anticipate and it was really challenging and that is always wonderful as an actress, I had a really good time.”

There’s also several images of Gloria (Selenis Levya), Chang (Lori Tan Chinn), and Lolly (Lori Petty) receiving a pat down. Season 3 of Orange is the New Black ended with Laura Prepon’s character Alex in danger of being gunned down by Aydin (Juri Henley-Cohn) who works for Kubra (Eyas Younis).

In a statement, Jenji Kohan the creator of Orange is the New Black, said “Three more years! Not quite a political term, but still plenty of time to do some interesting things. In some cultures, ‘May you lead an interesting life,’ is a curse, but I don’t live in those cultures.” Kohan went on to say “Here’s to keeping it interesting. Thanks Netflix! And kudos and gratitude to the stellar cast and crew and writers and producers and editors and musicians and mixers and shleppers…with whom I have the pride and honor of crafting this show. Three more years! Three more years!”

The 4th Season of Orange is the New Black will premiere June 17 on Netflix.
