MTV’s new series, Scream, premieres on June 30.
The first 8 minutes of the show have been released by MTV in high anticipation for the premiere next week.
Disney star Bella Thorne will star in the new series. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Thorne debuted the footage on NBC’s Late Night With Seth Myers.
Scream begins when Nina, a stuck-up Lakewood High teen, is brutally murdered. Bex Taylor-Klaus plays Audrey, a loner teen who is being cyberbullied. Her friend Noah, played by John Karna, helps her alongside her former best friend Emma (Willa Fitzgerald). While this high school drama is happening, Emma’s mother and medical examiner, Maggie (Tracy Middendorf), and Sheriff Clark (Jason Wiles) are trying to solve the murder mystery. The duo is trying to unveil the mystery behind the killings and whether or not they are directly linked to Brandon James, the previous generation’s “bully victim.”
Scream premieres at 10 p.m. on June 30 on MTV.
