According to Screenrant, the popular Prime Video series Fallout tells the tale of Ella Purnell’s (Arcane) Lucy McClain as she makes her way across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Along her journey, she meets allies and enemies, such as Maximus, played by Aaron Moten (Native Son), and Cooper Howard, played by Walton Goggins (The Righteous Gemstones). Season one ended with Lucy uncovering the truth behind Vault Tech and her father’s involvement.
According to Screenrant, in an interview with Josh Horowitz, Goggins provides his full comment on what he knows about the second season and said that the series creators, Graham Wagner (Hotbox) and Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Captain Marvel), have a clear plan.
As per Screenrant, Goggins said,“In the conversations that we’ve had, we knew that if we were to get a second season that the first season really unpacked very little. You know, there was really very little they explored even though it feels big. Because the game itself is hundreds, a thousand hours, but in this fictionalized version of a Fallout story that fits in the canon of Fallout, in this story that we’re telling, there’s so many questions left unanswered.”
Goggins continues,”And yeah, they have an idea of where they want to go, and they’ve asked for my input. I’ve had seats at tables now for a long time in that world. But they know exactly what they’re doing. So yeah, I think they have this second part of the journey really kind of beated out. For me, it all goes down to specificity. I mean, there is something that is going to happen the next day, or two days later, or whenever they decide to pick this story up. I haven’t read it after the finale.”
And there is a version of this that I see. There is humor and there is camaraderie, and there is antagonism between these possible scenarios that I would like to see kind of played out. Because we have to earn every emotional moment that we have. Just like the humor, it’s all situational. I think they see far into the future.”
While details about the second season’s plot and release rate are yet unknown, the first season of Fallout can be streamed in its entirety on Prime Video.
