ITV is getting a little more Vicious, according to Deadline’s latest report.
Vicious, the British comedy series starring Ian McKellen and Derek Jacobi, has been renewed for a second season. The six-episode first season, which aired earlier this year, premiered to the largest audience of any UK comedy series in 2013.
Also starring Frances de la Tour and Iwan Rheon, the show follows a couple (McKellen and Jacobi) that has lived together for 48 years. Over that time, their relationship has become a love/hate affair, leading to countless amusing situations.
The caustically entertaining series is reportedly in negotiations to air in the US, while the second season is expected to reach viewers in 2014.
