The dust has settled from the intense battle against the chromatic conclave, but there is no time to rest for the ragtag team of misfits turned heroes. Prime Video has dropped the official trailer for The Legend of Vox Machina season four, which goes on to depict the lives after the team temporarily split up, but a new deadly force arises in the form of the Whispering One, aka Vecna, who was mentioned back by Delilah Briarwood, voiced by Grey DeLisle (Danny Phantom, The Fairly OddParents), and made a brief cameo back in the third season.
Some key highlights from the trailer showcase Vax’ildan, voiced by Liam O’Brien (Naruto, Tiger & Bunny), dealing with the toll from betraying the word of the Matron of Ravens; Keyleth, voiced by Marisha Ray (Exandria Unlimited, Candela Obscura), struggling on her journey to become the voice of the tempest; and Percy, voiced by Taliesin Jaffe (One Piece: Stampede, XOXO) and Vex’ahalia, voiced by Laura Bailey (Dispatch, Soul Eater), navigating the political minefields of Whitestone and Vasselheim. Additionally, it depicts Scanlan, voiced by Sam Reigel (Blue Exorcist, Turtles Forever), returning from his world tour, and Pike, voiced by Ashley Johnson (Ben 10: Ultimate Alien, The Last of Us), and Grog, voiced by Travis Willingham (Sonic Boom, Fullmetal Alchemist), narrating their numerous adventures in a bar.
Taryon Darrington, voiced by Wayne Brady from The Cuphead Show and Sofia the First, will be joining the team temporarily, but there will also be some guest stars, such as Kevin Michael Richardson (Lilo & Stitch, Kamek in The Super Mario Bros. Movie) and Debra Wilson (Destiny 2, Star Wars: Survivor), whose roles remain to be announced.
This isn’t the only exciting news that Critical Role has brewing up, with a second season of their other series, The Mighty Nein, already in the works. All seasons of The Legend of Vox Machina are available to stream while waiting on the fourth season, which is scheduled to premiere on June 3rd.
