CBS has Utkarsh Ambudkar (Pitch Perfect) in male lead role for series Ghost, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The new British comedy from New Girl producers Joe Port and Joe Wiseman surrounds the story of a couple inheriting their dream home in the countryside, with some unforeseen supernatural phenomenons within. The series is produced by Lionsgate Television, BBC Studios and CBS Television Studios.
The series also he series features Brando Scott Jones (Isn’t It Romantic as co-star Isaac, a long-winded Militiaman and statesman who died in the late 1700s of dysentery, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Ambudkar will play a nerdy chef, with McIver as Samantha, aput-together Type-A personality freelance journalist who tries to enjoy her down time.

Ambudkar is an experienced actor with roles in The Mindy Project and White Famous. He’s repped by Gersh, 3 Arts and Jackoway Tyerman. There is no word of when Ghosts will premiere on CBS.
