The action-packed and highly renowned Marvel series, Daredevil:Born Again have finally revealed detail regarding a major character within the franchise. According to Comicbook, Bullseye aka Benjamin Poindexter, played by Wilson Bethel (Inside the Box, Hart of Dixie) after the third season of the previous Daredevil series, undergone experimental surgery after his spine was shattered by Kingpin, played by Vincent D’Onofrio (Hawkeye, Echo). Born Again has finally revealed the outcome of this procedure, showcasing a Bullseye more dangerous than ever before.
In the latest episode when Benjamin is being escorted to prison it was revealed in a brief dialogue that the surgery has enhanced his visual perception capabilities to that of superhuman. According to Comicbook, This is seen within the opening episode of the series in which Bullseye return and fight Matt aka Daredevil, played by Charlie Cox (Stardust, Spider-Man-No Way Home), in the process killing Foggy, played by Elden Henson (The Defenders, The Mighty Ducks).
According to Comicbook, we see later that he had escaped prison due to the procedure by breaking a tooth to use as a projectile and taking down one guard and doctor in the process. These enhancements make Bullseyes a perfect opposite to Cock’s Daredevil abilities. This has set the stage for more thrilling and compelling confrontations for the duo, with Matt’s blindness having enhanced his other senses versus Bullseye’s enhanced accuracy.
According to Comicbook, the MCU version of the iconic antagonist follows a different path compared to the comic version. Such examples of the difference are that in the comic it was Daredevil that broke Bullseye’s spine, instead of Kingpin. Another, he received an adamantium-laced skeleton, which grants him incredible durability in the comic, instead of the cognium-based one in the series.
All current episodes for Daredevil:Born Again are available to stream on Disney+, with new ones release every Tuesday.
