Alan Thicke will star in Unusually Thicke, a reality sitcom for TVGN, premiering on Wednesday, April 16.
Best known for his role in Growing Pains and more recently How I Met Your Mother, Thicke will star in the 14-episode reality show alongside his much younger wife Tanya and opinionated 16-year-old son Carter. The reality show will put Thicke’s family under the spotlight and highlight their everyday lives.
“Unusually Thicke combines my two favorite things: family… and laughing at my family,” said Alan Thicke. “This series is my foray into the ‘reality-ish’ television world where viewers will meet the lovable, unpredictable, and often challenging people who live with the real Jason Seaver. The show will also feature appearances from his Grammy-Award-winning son Robin Thick, actor David Hasselhoff, comedian Bob Saget, NBA legend Magic Johnson, NHL star Wayne Gretzky, actor John Stamos, political commentator/comedian Bill Maher, actor Tom Green and many more.
