A new thriller is coming to television this Summer. Under the Dome is a 13-episode event based on the Stephen King novel with the same name.
According to Rolling Stone, Under the Dome is a must-watch this Summer. The series follows the events of King’s novel and is executive produced by the master of horror himself. Rolling Stone also reports the show episodes are written by Lost writer, Brian K. Vaughan.
Under the Dome portrays a town that is inexplicably trapped inside a transparent dome. The 2,000 residents of the town then need to face the reality of being cut off from the rest of society. The town begins resorting to violence in order to survive, giving the show an apocalyptic theme. In the first look trailer, actress Britt Robertson (who plays Angie McAlister in the show) describes it as, “Two thousand people; secluded. It just gets pretty scary, very quickly”.
CBS reveals that the show stars Mike Vogul, Rachelle Leferve, Dean Norris, Natalie Martinez, Britt Robertson, Alexander Koch, Colin Ford, Nicholas Strong, Holene Purdy and Aisha Hinds.
CBS News announces that the 13-week event will premiere this summer. The drama begins June 24 at 10 P.M. on CBS.
