Umbrella Academy wraps filming on season three and teases in a set video that it will be the “best season ever,” via Collider.
The Umbrella Academy revolves around a dysfunctional family of adopted superheroes who reunite to mourn the mysterious death of their father and fight the threat of an incoming apocalypse.
Creator Steve Blackman (Legion) announced via Instagram that season three has officially wrapped with all seven of the core cast including Elliot Page (Inception), Tom Hopper (Hitman’s Bodyguard’s Wife), Robert Sheehan (Misfits), Emmy Raver-Lampman (Central Park), Aidan Gallagher (Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn), Justin H. Min (American Refugee), and David Castañeda (Switched at Birth). Recurring cast members Ritu Arya (Feel Good) and Colm Feore (The Chronicles of Riddick), who play additional members of the dysfunctional Hargeeves family, were also in the video.

“I don’t think the world’s ready for this, Raver-Lampan teased. “I think it’s our best season yet.” No plot details have been announced for the third season. Season two ended on a cliffhanger where the Hargreeves siblings arrived in an alternate timeline.
A new set of siblings will join season three as the alternate versions of the core cast, known as the Sparrow Academy. Justin Cornwell (Training Day), Britnie Oldford (How He Fell in Love), Jake Epstein (Degrassi), Genesis Rodriguez (Man on a Ledge), and Cazzie David (Hannah Montana) will join season three as the Sparrow siblings.
While filming wrapped on the third season, a release date was not announced. Umbrella Academy can be streamed on Netflix.
