The actor will be returning as a regular cast member in the next season of Pretty Little Liars, says TVLine.
Blackburn had left Pretty Little Liars in the beginning of the fourth and current season to take the leading role in Ravenswood (PLL‘s spin-off), where he kept portraying Caleb Rivers.
Since ABC Family cancelled Ravenswood a few weeks ago, it was expected that Tyler would be returning to Pretty Little Liars since his character was very popular and missed by fans.
The news was confirmed today and the actor will indeed be back to the fictional town of Rosewood in the beginning of the fifth season, and according to ABC Family’s statement earlier this Thursday, he will be back “as a full-fledged series regular.”
Pretty Little Liars season four is still going on, but the fifth season’s premiere is already scheduled for a premiere date of Tuesday, June 10 at 8/7c.
Though Tyler Blackburn is best known for his role as Caleb River in both Pretty Little Liars and Ravenswood, other works include Days Of Our Lives, Wendy and Rockville CA, among others.
