Short teasers for Jessica Jones have been trickling out and two new ones reveal more about the unconventional hero turned detective.
The first of the latest two teasers continues the trend of not showing Krysten Ritter’s face. The short teaser, which can be viewed below, shows Ritter’s Jessica Jones walking down a dark street in Hell’s Kitchen. After looking around to see if she would be seen, she takes off and uses her flight powers to land on a high fire escape.
Besides showing off the powers of Jones, the teaser also shows how she will use her powers to help her with her detective agency.
The second teaser actually shows Jessica Jones face in full. It also features David Tennant’s voice as Zebediah Killgrave. Killgrave, or the Purple Man, is the major villain for the series. He has the power to control people’s minds. In the teaser, which can be viewed below, his voice ominously taunts Jessica.
As Jessica puts pictures up on a wall, Killgrave says, “Jessica, I know your secrets. I know about your friends, about your gifts. I know everything.” This is the most detail about the show that any of the teasers has revealed and sets the dark tone the show will take.
Jessica Jones will be released on November 20 on Netflix.
