Game of Thrones ended its fourth, and most-watched, season with unsurprisingly high ratings.
Game of Thrones pulled in 7.1 million viewers in its original 9 pm airing, up 37% from last season’s finale. Game of Thrones had a landmark season, surpassing The Sopranos as HBO’s all-time most watched drama, and shattering last season’s average viewership (a then-record 5.4 million viewers a week). Each episode surpassed that average.
HBO appears to have made the right decision in renewing the drama for another two seasons, as interest just continues to swell for the show.
