Deadline reports that chair of the TV Academy of Arts & Sciences, Bruce Rosenblum, and all board of governors ran unopposed in this year’s officers elections.
The only change to actually take place is that of Secretary. Secretary Marcelino Ford has termed out, leaving a run off to take place November 21st, during the Governor’s board meeting. Those running for Secretary are: Sheila Manning, Governor, Commercials Peer Group, Mark Scott Spatny, Governor, Special Visual Effects Peer Group and Rob Swartz, Governor, Television Executives Peer Group.
Each member receives another two-year term in their currant positions. The overwhelming meaning behind no opposition for board positions is the belief that the TV Academy leadership is heading in the right direction, in re-branding of the TV Academy, embracing all forms of content from iconic, creative talent to broadband/digital distributors while looking for ways to further engage the membership through increased live as well as digital/live stream events.
