According to Deadline, Netflix has said that the new season will be “an epic journey” for the characters of the show. In season six, the show followed the aftermath of another student’s death, this time at the hands of the previous school principal. The high school, Las Encinas, started the new year trying to make amends for its scandalous past. But the school year was still plagued with conflicts about racism, sexism, domestic abuse, and homophobia amid the hallways of the prestigious school. And it is up to the students of Las Encinas to take action against these issues.

The current cast of the show includes Ander Puig (Alive and Kicking, Ser o no ser) as Nico; Carmen Arrufat (HIT, Todos mienten) as Sara; Álvaro de Juana (Amar en tiempos revueltos, HIT) as Dídac; Álex Pastrana (Welcome to Eden, Under Her Control) as Raul; André Lamoglia (Juacas, Bia) as Iván Carvalho; Valentina Zenere (Soy Luna, Cable Girls) as Isadora Artiñán; Carla Díaz (Seis hermanas, Amar en tiempos revueltos) as Ari Blanco; newcomer Martina Cariddi as Mencía Blanco; Adam Nourou (Adu) as Bilal; Nadia Al Saidi (Cómo mandarlo todo a la mierda) as Sonia; and Manu Ríos (Muted, La edad de la ira) as Patrick Blanco. Élite follows a group of teenage students from working-class families who are forced to attend Las Encinas, a prestigious private school after their school collapses. During their first semester at the school, one of the students is murdered on school grounds and as the police investigate, the events and drama of the first half of the school year unravel. The show continues to follow the same students as they near graduation when another student is murdered at the graduation party. In season four, three of the original students are held back from graduating and are forced to remain in school for another year. When one of them comes under suspicion for hurting the new principal’s daughter, it’s up to them and their new classmates to solve the mystery.

Season seven of Élite will premiere on October 20 on Netflix. All previous seasons of the show are available to stream on Netflix.
