According to TVLine‘s exclusive, the HBO series has found a new James, and it will be Nathan Parsons.
Nathan Parsons will, this way, sub in for Luke Grimes, who announced his departure of True Blood last month “due to the creative direction of his brooding, soulful, vampire character.”
It is unusual for actors to be substituted when they have already appeared on the show for a substantial number of episodes, but the producers decided James was worth keeping, so they found Grimes a replacement.
Parsons is known for his work on Bunheads and General Hospital.
