Hollywood actress Tori Spelling (Lost in the Everglades, Rapscallion Romance) and her children have been hospitalized following a car crash in Southern California. On April 2, 2026, Spelling was involved in a two-car collision.
According to USA Today, deputies were dispatched to Temecula, California where the crash took place just before 6 p.m. Spelling was driving seven kids at the time of the accident, four being her children and three being their friends. Unfortunately a speeding driver had allegedly crashed into Spelling’s car after running a red light. Spelling and the children were taken to the hospital and were treated for cuts, bruises, contusions, concussions, and other injuries.
For those who don’t know, Spelling shares five kids with her ex-husband, Dean McDermott (Foibles, Polar Opposites). Their names are Liam, Stella, Hattie, Finn, and Beau. Spelling and McDermott separated back in 2023, Spelling filed for divorce after nearly 18 years of marriage in March 2024.
According to USA Today, Spelling had this to say regarding the divorce between her and McDermott: “We’re family. It’s just a different version of a family now and we’ll always be family,” she told the People Magazine in a March 26 interview. “So it’s really great for the kids.” She added how her eldest kids, Liam and Stella, live with her.
“Liam, who is 19, he goes, ‘Mom, I’ve always heard growing up and watching things on TV, when a man turns 18, he’s supposed to move out.’ And I said, ‘That is so archaic. Don’t listen to that,'” Spelling said via People. “I cook a lot and I love my kids … Liam has a girlfriend, Stella has [a] boyfriend. They become family. I’m the house [that’s] like, ‘Everyone come over. Let me feed you.'”
No arrests were made when it came to the crash and the investigation is still underway. For now let us hope that Spelling, her family, and everyone involved in the crash can have a timely recovery.
