Attention MobLand fans, with the second season only two weeks away Paramount+ has renewed the series for a third season. Who knows what we can expect from the third season of this beloved series?
For those who don’t know, MobLand is a series that follows a “fixer” named Harry Da Souza, who works for a crime family called the Harrigans. After the son of the Harrigans starts a war with another crime family, Harry is caught in the crossfire of the events and must use his street smarts to fix this mess and ensure that his family is safe. According to Deadline, the second season of the series was produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios.
The renewal of the third season didn’t come easily, for the actor Tom Hardy (Havoc, Venom: The Last Dance), was at the center of some behind the scene drama with executive producer and showrunner Jez Butterworth (The Agency, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny). The actor had reportedly locked himself to his trailer and there had been speculations that he had been attempting to alter the dialogue and provide script notes to Butterworth and Ronan Bennett (The Day of the Jackal, Top Boy). However, the three were able to hash things out and remain cool headed regarding the future of Hardy’s involvement in the series.
The cast consists of Hardy, Pierce Brosnan (Giant, The Thursday Murder Club), Helen Mirren (Goodbye June, 1923), Paddy Considine (Heads of State, Deep Cover), Joanne Froggatt (Moriarty: The Great Chaos, Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale), Lara Pulver (The Hack, Blood of Zeus), Anson Boon (Heel, Pipe Dream), Mandeep Dhillon (The Sheep Detectives, Merge), Teddie Allen (Half Head, Malice), Emmett J. Scanlan (Kin, Echoes), Jasmine Jobson (The Murder at the Viscarage, Fontaines D.C.: Bug), Janet McTeer (The Artist, Gangs of London), Toby Jones (Good Omes, Flavia), and Johnny Flynn (A prayer for the Dying, A Death in the Family).
The second season will premiere on September 18, 2026. In the meantime, feel free to check out the first season of the show in order to get caught up for the main event.
