Tom Ellis Is Now Part Of Hulu’s ‘Tell Me Lies’ Cast

Hulu’s series Tell Me Lies has added Lucifer alum Tom Ellis (Once Upon A Time, Merlin, The Flash, Miranda) to its season two cast, Deadline reports. Ellis will portray the character of Oliver, a Baird College professor, who is very tough with his students, and as one of the main characters starts aiming for his approval, this will have drastic consequences. The character is married to series regular Marianne, who is Lucy’s professor, portrayed by Gabriella Pession (On The Brink, The Red Door, Rossella, Crossing Lines).

Hulu has added Ellis to many of their projects, according to Deadline. He will star and be an executive producer for the series Second Wife, along with actress Emma Roberts (Scream Queens, Holidate, American Horror Story), created by showrunner and wife Meaghan Oppenheimer (Queen America, We Are Your Friends, stalkTALK). Hulu’s limited series Washington Black, will see him in the role of Christopher “Titch” Wilde, who is an inventor.

Furthermore, Netflix has Ellis starring as the main male lead of Players, a romantic comedy centered around a New York sports writer, played by Gina Rodriguez (Jane The Virgin, Not Dead Yet, Someone Great), who falls for one of her many flings (Ellis), via Deadline.

Tell Me Lies, according to Deadline, is a story focused on one toxic relationship that goes on for eight years, but pulls in a group of college friends in a loophole of betrayal, cheating, sex, and lies that will leave a permanent mark in their lives forever.
