Three fan favorites are coming to Texas. Variety has reported that NBC’s current fan-favorite show This Is Us, ABC’s thirtysomething and HBO’s The Comeback have been booked for panels at the annual ATX Television Festival in Austin, Texas from.
The recently announced panels join an already announced reunion of the Alias cast, Hearts Afire, The Black Donnellys and The Middleman, among other panels. The full list of shows that will be present at the festival are available on their website, though the days have yet to be scheduled.
For the This Is Us panel, series creator Dan Fogelman, executive producer Ken Olin, stars Milo Ventimiglia and Mandy Moore and NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke will be the participants. A large portion of the panel will most likely be spent talking about the success of the show, the rare two-season pickup the show received back in January and trying to get spoilers from the upcoming season from the Fogelman and Olin.
For thirtysomething, the show will be celebrating its 30th anniversary with a panel featuring cast members Olin, Patricia Wettig, Peter Horton, Melanie Mayron, Timothy Busfield and David Clennon. The show originally aired on ABC from 1987 to 1991 and focused on a group of friends tries to reconcile their former lives to the lives that they now lead.
As for The Comeback, the first season of the show aired on HBO in 2005 before it was canceled after one season. It made a comeback of its own in 2014 and aired another eight episodes. The show centered on Valerie Cherish (Lisa Kudrow) as she attempts to make a return to the Hollywood lifestyle she once had. The panel will feature Kudrow, who co-created the show, co-creator and executive producer Michael Patrick King, cast member and executive producer Dan Bucatinsky and cast member Laura Silverman will attend that panel. Additional cast members that will attend the panel are likely to be announced in the future.
Kudrow and King have said in the past that they’d be open to doing a third season of the show, so maybe the cast panel will be the perfect place to announce another season of the show.
The ATX Television Festival runs from June 8 to 11.
