Third Installment of ‘The Greatest Event In Television History’ Will Be Released

Adult Swim and Adam Scott are teaming up once again for another shot for shot remake of another classic televsion show and this couch is the only hint they provided.

Scott and Adult Swim’s first installment was a precise recreation of the Simon and Simon opening, featuring Mad Men‘s Jon Hamm. The second Greatest Event in Television History was of Hart to Hart‘s opening with Parks and Recreation co-star Amy Poehler.

Vulture has ruled out the couch from Central Perk on Friends, the orange couch from Snick and the couch from the Simpson‘s family living room due to differing styles and designs from the clue above and that these shows are “too new for TGEiTH treatment.”

The couch comes from Too Close for Comfort, an early 1980’s ABC comedy set in San Francisco which remains true to consistency given the other “mockumentary specials” were 80’s shows as well, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The third feature of The Greatest Event in Television History will air November 7 at midnight on Adult Swim.
