As stated by Deadline, The White Lotus hits yet another viewership record with Season Three Episode Six. The episode received 4.2 million views just for the sixth episode. Season two drew similar views but only in the finale. Season two episode seven brought 4.1 million views, which left room for the show to grow for future episodes. Following the season as a whole, HBO has seen an increase of 5 million views. Last season, each episode would received around 15.5 million views altogether. Each release of season three has continued to hit records and gain traction.
Seasons one and two gained viewers for its star-studded cast. Some known actors fans saw were Theo James (Divergent, The Monkey), Audrey Plaza (Agatha All Along, My Old Ass), Sydney Sweeny (Anyone But You, Euphoria), Alexandra Daddario (True Detective, Mayfair Witches) and Jennifer Coolidge (Legally Blonde, The Watcher).
Deadline also shared that following viewership, each episode has left fans buzzing as it is one of the trending top 10 topics on the social media platform X for the hashtag of the show. The series has higher stakes this year as the season opened with a preview of what was going to happen in the finale. We watch actor Nicholas Duvernay (Purple Hearts, My Dead Dad) starring as Zion Lindsey meditating in a Thai resort as a mass shooting breaks out. The episode then throws audiences into a panic as he tries to find his mom Belinda Lindsey played by Natasha Rothwell (How To Die Alone, Insecure). The series then moves on to past tense as it takes viewers back to a few days before the shooting and the events that occurred before. Providing a “whodunnit” situation, viewers watch tensely trying to figure out which character is involved in the shooting. Of course, as the series moves on, none of the characters are deemed safe as they have done things that will haunt them.
The cast for season three is popular as well. Fans have seen Aimee Lee Wood (Sex Education, Living), Patrick Schwarzenegger (Gen V, Midnight Sun) Lisa (How You Like That, Rockstar), and Carrie Con (Gone Girl, Avengers: Infinity War). Tune into HBO on Sundays at 9 pm EST for all new episodes of The White Lotus.
