AMC+ gave fans its first look at the final chapter of Daryl Dixon’s post-apocalyptic journey with new photos and a teaser for Season four of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. The streamer also announced an addition to the cast, with Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award winner Jimmy Smits joining for this season.
Season four of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will premiere sometime in 2027, although a specific date has not been specified. Stars Norman Reedus (The Boondock, Blade II), who plays Daryl, and Melissa McBride (The Mist, The Happys), who plays Carol, will be taking their journeys to Spain for this final season.
AMC+ also released the synopsis for the season, which reads: “In the final season, while crossing the ravaged badlands of Spain, “Daryl” (Reedus) and “Carol” (McBride) grasp onto hope – and each other – as uncertainty about their future grows.”
Smits plays ex-U.S. Navy Officer and doctor, Captain Alejandro Perkins. Perkins not only survived, but he thrived during the apocalypse with an exceptional strategy.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season four cast will also include Romain Levi (Eduardo Noriega), Óscar Jaenada (The Shallows, Cantinflas), Candela Saitta (Maxima, El Primero de Nosotros) and Hugo Arbués (Through My Window: Across the Sea, The Warning). David Zabel is the showrunner for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.
