According to AMC Networks, the production of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon has started filming in Spain for season three. The show stars Norman Reedus (Charmed, Vacation) as Daryl Dixon and Melissa McBride (The Happys) as Carol Peletier. It will take place in Madrid, with shooting locations in Aragon, Catalonia, Galicia, and Valencia. The locations will rotate in each of the episodes to provide the ambiance of the extraordinary dystopian universe. Filming kicks off after the season two premier, which occurs on September 29 in the U.S. and October 4 in Spain.
The launch is set for 2025 by executive producers of the season Angela Kang (Silk: Spider Society), Brian Bockrath (The Walking Dead, Fear The Walking Dead), Dan Percival (The Man in the High Castle), showrunner David Zabel (Lucky 7), Greg Nicotero (Fallout), Jason Richman (Stumptown) and Steve Squillante (Locke). Jesus de la Vega (The Girl in the Mirror) and Silvia Araez (We Were the Lucky Ones) are being added to the executive producers’ team. The third season trails behind Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier, continuing their expedition to return home and reunite with loved ones. While struggling to search for their way back home, the road leads them farther than their destination and guides them to faraway lands with strange and dynamic circumstances. All while witnessing multiple results of the Walkers’ apocalyptic effect.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon debuted September 10, 2023, and became the #1 streamed series in the AMC+ Universe after three weeks via AMC Networks. The show was also a top purchase in the United States and Spain.
