

Exciting news surrounding the new journey Frank Castle, played by Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead, Daredevil) have surfaced. According to Variety, it was revealed by Disney+ that a new standalone project is currently in the works and named Punisher: One Last Kill, which is set to May 12, one week after the high-stakes season finale of Daredevil: Born Again season two. Bernthal first appeared as the violent vigilante back in the 2016 Daredevil, in which he has confronted Charlie Cox’s (The Defenders, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law) Matt Murdock, and later teams up.
Marvel have release a teaser poster on their instagram page for the upcoming Punisher special, which shows a weathered and bloodied Frank Castle. According to Variety, Bernthal has been praised. his performance in bringing out the character’s raw intensity and emotional depth, further delving deeper into his character’s complex mindset in the upcoming special.

Reported by Variety, Marvel has done an outstanding on keeping the series plot under lock and key, further adding to anticipation that fans can expected to witness. Rumors have speculated that the events from the first season of Born Again lit the fuse, in which Frank fights his way through Fisk’s army, continuing his path of self justice. This isn’t the only project that fans will witness the character in, as Frank will have a run in with Spider-Man, played by Tom Holland (Uncharted, Avengers Endgame) in the approaching Spider-Man: Brand New Day film.
With Daredevil wrapping its second season in mid-May, Punisher: One Last Kill arrives as the perfect palate cleanser. While waiting for the series special, viewers may rewatch Bethany’s performance in The Punisher and Daredevil, both of which are available to stream on Disney+. Furthermore, it has been announced that the Born Again plot will continue with a third season.
