Fox announces there will be an all-LEGO episode of The Simpsons airing on May 4 at 8 p.m.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the current success of The LEGO Movie is bringing the toy building bricks to television. Homer and the rest of the gang will be a slightly different shade of yellow for this episode. The episode centers on Homer finding himself in a LEGO world where Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie and the rest of Springfield are made out of Lego’s. The episode is titled “Brick Like Me” and asks: “Can he ‘put together’ how he got there and somehow figure out how to get home before he is stuck in a world of bricks forever?”
LEGO recently announced a partnership with The Simpsons in January.

We are also excited that The Simpsons will be created in LEGO form, truly bringing this partnership to life.”

This is not the first time the animated series has broken form before. Previous episodes include a performance by Katy Perry with Muppet versions of the Simpsons during a Christmas episode. Home once found himself in another dimension during a “Treehouse of Horror” segment.
The Simpsons begins airing two new episodes on March 9 at 7:30 p.m.
