‘The Red Road’ Renewed for a Second Season by Sundance TV

The drama that is SundanceTV’s second wholly owned has received a greenlight for a second season.


Sundance has renewed the drama that revolved around a small town and a nearby Native American tribe for a second season. as reported by The Wrap. The series show Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) playing the role of a criminal and Martin Henderson (Off the Map) as a cop who face off when Henderson’s wife (Julianne Nicholson – Masters of Sex) hits a Native American boy after a night of drinking.

Sarah Barnett, the president of SundanceTV said “‘The Red Road’ tells the tale of a shocking conflict which plays out in a very specific place — the land that the Native Americans live on literally oozes danger,” Barnett continued by saying that “It’s a show about what happens when you try to bury the truth, and the devastating impact of that. We’re proud of this tremendously talented cast and can’t wait to see where creator Aaron Guzikowski takes this story in season two.”

The show which aired six episodes this year, has been renewed for six more in 2015 and it’s created by Aaron Guzikowski (Prisoners) and produced by Sarah Condon (Bored to Death).

The production of the second season of The Red Road will begin later this year in Georgia.
