The Nine-Nine Reunites: ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ Cast Celebrates Lasting Bonds

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a comedy series that follows the journey of seven members of the NYPD as they adjust to their lives with their new captain. The cast of the series consists of Andy Samberg (Palm Spring) as Jake, Melissa Fumero (Ant-Man) as Amy, Stephanie Beatriz (Encanto) as Rosa Diaz, Terry Crews (America Got Talent), as well as many others. According to Deadline, the cast had a reunion, and Chelsea Peretti (Sing 2) has posted on social media with all of them. The description stated,”Tonight was like a very special episode where we ran thru so many memories and moments”, along with a heart emoji.

The reunion was not just about celebrating the show but also honoring Andre Braugher (The Mist) and the impact that his character Captain Holt had on the show. Braugher passed away on December 11th, 2023.  The sitcom series first made its debut on September 17, 2013, and ran for eight seasons. The sitcom concluded its run on September 16, 2021.  The reunion photo sparked joy across social media, with fans expressing their love for the show and their hope for future get-togethers.

According to Rotten Tomato, The sitcom has had sturdy rating of 8.5 out of 10 stars, which displays how the audience can relate to the characters, with the addition of the unique blend of comedy and drama the series is known for. According to Screenrant, some of the memorable watched episodes of the comedy drama consists of “DFW”, “The Box”, “Halloween”, and many others. The shows display themes of friendship, family, and overcoming challenges.

Overall, while the sitcom has concluded, the entirety of the series is available to watch on Netflix. Their reunion highlighted the deep connection they formed while portraying the wacky, yet endearing, detectives of the 99th Precinct.
