HBO’s series the Newsroom is quickly approaching the premiere of its second season, and what better way to celebrate this event then to release new character posters?

Huffington Post describes these eight new posters of the “News Night” crew. Characters Will (Jeff Daniels), MacKenzie (Emily Mortimer), Don (Thomas Sadoski), Jim (John Gallagher, Jr.), Maggie (Alison Pill) and Charlie (Sam Waterston) are each featured on their own poster with specific quotes telling of each character. In addition, a poster was made to advertise the new key art for the second season. The ominous tagline, “Together they stand alone”, is written on this poster.
Series creator Aaron Sorkin released a few details about the upcoming season. According to Entertainment Weekly, season two spans from August 23, 2011, the day Muammar Gaddafi’s Tripoli compound was captured by rebel forces to the 2012 Election Day. Additional events covered in this season’s episodes include “the Tea Party/American Taliban, the general election including the primaries and conventions, Trayvon Martin, the Affordable Care Act, and drones.”
The Newsroom season two kicks off July 14 on HBO. The seven character posters are displayed below.
